Dale Beckman was born in 1955 in a small town in Eastern Montana. Drawing images from a very early age, Dale followed his interest in the creative process throughout his academic career to graduate with a BA degree in 1979 from Rocky Mountain College. His formal education continued with post graduate work at the University of Montana-Billings.
In 1986 he moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to paint the Southwest desert. He was a member of Santa Fe Society of Artists, Artists Equity, and Rio Grande Artists Coop. He sold his paintings at the outdoor art fairs, regional galleries, online and from his studio. His primary subject is the landscape with an emphasis on illustrating an actively vibrating world of electromagnetic energy.
In 1997 he moved to Abiquiu, New Mexico where he lived in relative seclusion, painting the desert that Georgia O’Keeffe was so attracted too.
Today Dale Beckman lives in Helena, Montana.
